Zane Morse – Toyota 86 Series – Sandown Wrap Up

Well I’m glad to say I had a better round at Sandown than I did last year! I managed to sit more consistently inside the top 15 all weekend and continued to gain positions as the weekend went on.

Friday’s two practice sessions I managed to finish up 6th and 12th. Come qualifying I wasn’t able to get many clear racing laps in so 18th was all I could manage. We made a few tweaks to the car overnight ready for Saturday’s two races.

The crew gave me a great car and I was able to pick up a few more positions during Race 1. I went from 18th to 11th and was also the fifth fastest on track which I was pretty happy with. Race 2 I got caught in the middle of the field and had to take 14th.

Sunday, I managed P14 and had a really strong car, however due to a racing incident the session was cut short and the race was deemed a non-event.

A big thanks to all my sponsors, especially Brema Group for the continued support throughout the season! Massive thanks also to my dad and crew for prepping and giving me a really fast car!

Next up, Newcastle 22-24th November! I can’t wait to get there. I had a pretty strong weekend there last year, so hopefully we can finish the year on a high again!
