So it’s been a few weeks since the last round at Phillip Island and in the break I’ve been making sure to keep fit by going to the gym regularly as well as watching what I eat. I have also been busy working and still completing my apprenticeship as an electrician – so I’ve been keeping really busy.
Push Talent Management held a drivers info day in the break, where we had a sports dietician, physiotherapist and a sports doctor talk to us about how to keep healthy during a race weekend as well as during the off peak. I took away some really valuable information and I’m really eager to put into action some of the things we learnt.
We had a little bit of damage to the car after Phillip Island, so my dad has been busy fixing all the issues and getting the car sorted ready for this weekend in Townsville!
I can’t wait to hit the track! I have never raced at Townsville before, so I’m really looking forward to it. The only street circuit that I’ve raced on was at Gold Coast, so I’m really eager to get behind the wheel and cut some laps around the street style circuit.
I’m determined to push a bit harder for this round, I found I probably held back a little at Phillip Island being the first round, but now I know what to expect I have a bit more confidence and am hoping to give it a crack and battle it out with the top runners.
Ideally I’d like to be sitting in the top 5 for this weekend. I certainly have the pace and unfortunately I wasn’t able to prove that at Phillip Island, so I’m really determined to give this weekend a good crack!
I’ve just announced a new Naming Rights sponsor, Brema Group Racing; I’m so pleased to have these guys on board. They are helping us out a lot and I’m thankful of the opportunity they’ve given us. I hope that I can do them proud and get some decent results this weekend.
Practice 1 kicks off on Friday 6th July at 8:50am (AEST).
