Zane Morse – Bathurst Wrap Up – Toyota 86 Series

I’m pretty wrapped with my weekend at Bathurst! I had a mega car, with thanks to the crew for all their hard work! I also love this track!

Friday’s practice sessions, I came out firing and finished up P4 and P3 respectively which certainly gave me some confidence!

It’s always important to qualify well at any race, but also in particular at Bathurst. We had short race times with only 6-lappers, so I knew it was important to do the hard work in qualifying to ensure I set myself up for a good race. Unfortunately though, I had a bit of an off which pushed me to the rear of the grid and finished up in 19th.

The crew did a fantastic job in getting the car back and ready for Saturday – so I owe a big thank you to them!

Saturday’s Race 1, I had a pedal sensor fail and so Race 2 I had a bit of work to do! I was able to fight my way through the back of the pack and finished up 14th, which is where I would start for Race 3.

Sunday’s final race, I was able to continue my momentum from the day before and continued to pick off cars and came away with sixth, which I was absolutely stoked with! A big thanks to all of my sponsors and supporters!! It means a lot and I wouldn’t be here without you all.

I can’t wait to get back out there and do it all again for Round 4 at Sandown Raceway, November 8-10!

Hope to see you there!
